Ocular Artifact Rejection

Ocular Artifact rejection eliminates the effect of blinks on all electrodes. It works by analyzing the effect that eye-blinks have on the waveforms of each electrode, and then subtracts that effect from each for each blink period it encounters. You must help the program to specify what a blink looks like by selecting maximum values fro the VEOG channel and selecting about 30 blinks for the program to average.

Open original .cnt file

Click Transforms > Ocular Artifact Rejections

Select the following:

Click CNT >> button and name output file (e.g. DE_S01_oar.cnt)

Click OK

Select maxima that look like blinks (Y = yes, anything else = no)

Select blinks (Y = yes, anything else = no)

Select between 30 and 40 blinks and click Next

Inspect waveform (if it looks OK, click Finish)
